The cookies and similar technologies we use
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, do the same job in a different way. In this policy, "cookies" covers both.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These make the service work and cannot be switched off.

We also protect forms against cross-site request forgery with a security token that is sent with each request and is not stored as a cookie.
3. Functional storage in the app
Inside the app, your browser stores some data on your device so the app can work offline and remember your settings. This includes the attendance list and scans made while offline, which are sent to our servers when you reconnect, and a counter that limits PIN attempts. This data stays on the device of the account holder or staff member who is signed in.
4. Referral link storage
If you open a referral or affiliate link, we store the code from that link for 30 days (the chq_aff_ref cookie and a copy in local storage), so the person who referred you gets credit if you sign up.
5. Analytics

6. Advertising measurement

These tools load only on our public marketing pages. The ad click cookie is the one exception: it is a cookie, not a tool, and it is set only on the signup page. They never load inside the app, on parent or student pages, on join links or on invoice links.
7. What we never do
- We never use advertising cookies inside the app or on any page a parent or student opens. The only exception is the ad click cookie on the signup page (section 6).
- We never sell data collected by cookies.
- We never use cookies to build profiles of children.
8. Your choices
8.1 You can delete cookies and local storage, or block them, in your browser settings, or use a content blocker. Blocking analytics or advertising tools does not affect how the service works.
8.2 You can manage how social networks use data for advertising in each network's ad settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in.
9. Changes and contact
